Location- About 30 minutes from Los Cabo Airport

This is a very pretty resort. Set on a golf course with some great ocean views. Adults only, in Cabo means there are some rowdy crowds even in the romantic setting. We were there and the night club was super busy but I have heard it can be quiet on other occasions. There is a little spot to head into the ocean down the beach that is not monitored but locals and guest frequent the spot to beat the Cabo heat. Close to the quieter port, but you are able to get out and see some great marine life.

Riu in Los Cabo (Santa Fe, San Lucas, Baja California)

Location- Approx 45 minutes from the airport

This large hotel in the Baja is located close to the upbeat feel of Cabo San Lucas. The Santa Fe takes on that feeling of being more of a party place which is why we would send families to the Palace San Lucas next door to limit the party but you still have access to the Santa Fe. The Baja California is an adults only resort with access to all three… Also they have a great water park here for everyone!! No real swimming right in front of the resort but down the beach has some swimming if you need to get into the ocean!!

Dreams Los Cabo

The Dreams Los Cabo is situated in between the contrasting San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas was given ample opportunity to explore these two unique areas. The infinity pool is something to see and maybe spend some time enjoying the view. Once that has grown old (if it ever does) jump into the games from the entertainment team or head to the adults-only pool to spend quality time with the people you came to reconnect with! A little kids pool with a small slide will entertain the small kids but the older kids may need to head to the kids club activities such as archery! Family of 5 with a wrist band and reservation free a la cartes help you breeze through and enjoy your vacation that much more!

Paradisus Los Cabo

Location- 25 minutes from Airport

Paradisus is a luxury brand, which in this case has a swimmable beach in Los Cabo which makes this property highly sought after. The resort is right in the Paradisus quality but this over others gear a little more to family and Royal service with 3 extra pools, free room service included, and extra restaurants. Is it worth the extra cost? I am on the fence. The resort is top-notch and I don’t know if the extra vacation will get you that much more out of it but it could be for you! So if you need a luxury family resort with the all mighty swimmable beach in Cabo, this is tough to beat!

Krystal Grand Los Cabo

Location- 15 minutes from the Airport

The Krystal Grand is a solid 4-star value brand most of the time, the problem typically being is Los Cabo is often more expensive than the rest of Mexico and that may take this hotel out of the value for many. It has many of the amenities people are looking for such as kids pool, adults pool, infinity pool, swim-up, decent food but some of the negatives include the family rooms are a little loud on the highway and some have to cross a road to get to the resort and a little on the dated side. One of the best features is the sky lounge, which has some of the best views I had seen in Cabo. Lastly, there is surfing just down the beach which may be a perk to some!

Breathless Los Cabo

Location Marina front approx. 50 minutes from Los Cabo airport

Breathless Los Cabo is a high energy adult-only resort right in the heart of Cabo San Lucas. It overlooks the Marina on a swimmable beach and within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and nightlife you could ever want in Cabo San Lucas!! They do lack a swim-up but do have poolside service! The purple club will keep you going if that’s what you are looking for in a vacation!

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabo

Location- 20 minutes from airport

As with the Krystal Grand, this 4* property hits a bunch of boxes but with other Barcelo resorts things like WIFI are extra which really just sucks… They do have a kids club, playground and pool with adult areas. They do offer some family rooms with video games and some upgraded rooms getting the best views but to me that would just get you into a better hotel!! It could be an option if the value works out for your dates.

Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabo

Location- 20 minutes from the airport

We gave this the Luxury tag, as many of the touches and services bring it there but compared to some of the other “luxury” resorts in Cabo this Fiesta is rather standard. They do have swimmable areas that you can bring your snorkel gear down to so that brings some points to this property! The beach is large and clean in a popular beach area, and attached to 2 golf courses, not that you are ever far from a golf course in Cabo!

Hyatt Los Cabo

A great name is all inclusive at the higher end of what is offered in the all inclusive scene. They offer some great higher end services for families of 5 with the small kids water park and pool to get away from the main pool for everyone else who’s enjoying the Cabo sun! Hyatt resorts motto is service from the heart, which you can expect from this wonderful resort!

Grand Velas Los Cabo

Luxury Romantic

Location- 40km from the airport

This resort just nothing short of WOW… And the price tag typically follows that but I don’t know if it’ll be beaten in quality, service, amenities, food, and rooms (which are all Oceanview). They offer a kids pool, playground, and kid/teens club, add in the adults-only pool you can find exactly what you are looking for in this property. There is not a swimmable beach, but the pools keep you close anyway!
