DJ’s throughout the day, entertainment staff, pools and 5* service without out wrist bands or need to make dinner reservations make it a perfect fit for those looking to keep it going all week! They have a small casino on site, a busy nightclub and some pretty entertaining shows and theme nights. If you need a break, head to the more quiet Now Onyx next door to refresh for the night inevitable party!

El Dorado Maroma

We will start at the beach, rated one of the top 10 worldwide and always at the top in Mexico, to add that with the food first attitude of Karissma, with luxury to the highest standard and then just for fun add over the water bungalows… YES, not inexpensive but an experience to definitely consider!! This often top-end resort gets sold out year-round, so doesn’t often come in cheap but the quality and the reviews speak for themselves!

Hyatt Zilara Cancun

Location- Cancun hotel Zone approximately 25 minutes from the Cancun airport

The Hyatt Ziliara adult only resort sits on the amazing stretch of beach in the Cancun hotel zone, with some stunning views from the hotel pools and swim out suites as well each of the other rooms in the property face the stunning blues of the sea! The spa is quite the spot, not a spa guy but I would spend some time in the hydro-circurt in this property. This hotel has a well-appointed gym with a lap pool as well, to spend some time prior to spending your days in the sun! Perfect spot for couples looking to reconnect in a quietier hotel in a popular spot in Cancun hotel Zone!

Melia Punta Cana

The Melia Punta Cana is pushing up in popularity with the typically well priced resort in DR and the quality of Melia after some nice renovations completed in 2019! The Family friendly Melia Caribe and Melia Punta Cana are both directly on the beach and neighbor each other. Need something more, look at the Level for the extra perks some crave! The newly branded wellness retreat is selling it as more of a tranquility for your mind and your body… Take a trip and see what they mean!!

Hyatt Zilara/Ziva Cap Cana

Location- 20 minutes from Punta Cana Airport in Cap Cana

The Brand New Hyatt Zilara and Ziva the “Hyatt twins” are located in the amazing beach destination of Cap Cana area of the Dominican Republic. Adults have free access to either resort which is an amazing perk!! You can live in the lap of luxury in your adult-only resort and head over to the lazy river or water park to enjoy the 7 slides!! 24-hour room service and top end service will put this resort at the top of many people’s list!! The area is a gated luxury community with easy access to the ocean, golf, and even horse riding. Take a serious look at this property for your family or couple’s trip!

Secrets Puerto Los Cabo

Location- About 30 minutes from Los Cabo Airport

This is a very pretty resort. Set on a golf course with some great ocean views. Adults only, in Cabo means there are some rowdy crowds even in the romantic setting. We were there and the night club was super busy but I have heard it can be quiet on other occasions. There is a little spot to head into the ocean down the beach that is not monitored but locals and guest frequent the spot to beat the Cabo heat. Close to the quieter port, but you are able to get out and see some great marine life.

Catalonia Royal Tulum

Adult, Value

Location- Just over 1 hour from the airport

The Catalonia brand has been a solid 4* resort, and often a good step into decent quality resorts in some nice areas. They aren’t over the top in luxury but do have a nice laid back feel. They aren’t too busy or lively even with a disco, but also lack the swim up bar at this resort. This might be a good adults only for you on a budget but want the luxury items such as spa and bali beds!

Secrets Riviera Cancun

Location- 20 minutes from airport

This is my favorite Resort update in sometime. This was part of the Breathless Resort next door and considered the “upgrade” area to the quiet portion of Breathless, but most people going to Breathless Resorts aren’t typically looking for quiet. So, they upgraded to Secrets with all “Preferred category” hotel with upgraded rooming and amenities through the whole resort. Secrets is probably the best couples resort looking for romance and relaxation and the area now has it. The best part of this change is the fact if you book the Secrets Riviera Cancun you have access to the Breathless Riviera Cancun next door!! This means if you are looking for a night out or maybe a Vegas style pool party you have it at your disposal when you want during your stay… Basically two experiences in one vacation!!!

Riu Republica

Location- Approx 30 minutes from Punta Cana Airport

Ok, not sure where to start. The Riu Republica is a standalone Riu property with the only adults only water park directly at the resort in the Caribbean!! If you pair that with the multiple swim-up bars and disco it makes it a great adult only spot and often well priced!! To add a little value, you get free access with transportation and drinks to the Riu complex for two themed pool parties!!

Unico 20 87

Location- approx 1 hour and 15 minutes to Cancun airport

This new hotel is gaining a lot of popularity with guests. A different quality luxury property with lively entertainment with personal wellness and gourmet indulgences in mind. It’s not hard to see from the property and the reviews why this property is becoming a popular spot in the Mayan!

 Royalton CHIC Punta Cana

So the Chic, it’s on Uvero Alto Beach which isn’t known for the white sand or soft surf but it is a decent stretch of beach as we have been on it at a different property. The resort itself has a “detox” oxygen bar which might give you an idea of the type of resort you are getting! Lively 5* experience with a great spa and some good exercise regimes to keep you moving after your long nights!!

Secrets The Vine Cancun

 The adults-only chic hotel in the heart of the hotel zone is upscale and trendy, not up my alley but it definitely is for many as it is a very popular spot! The great spa has 14 treatment rooms which put many days wide open for the spa. The rooms have some great views in the 28-story building which is also well designed and fresh. The resort doesn’t have great nightlife but the area does so you can get the best of both worlds! Stay in or head out but either way Secrets The Vine could be a great pick for your adults-only getaway.
